Founded in 1997, ALPHA Education has grown into a global leader and influencer of peace, social justice, and humanity by promoting the study, research, and remembrance of World War II in Asia.

Founded Toronto ALPHA

Invited Iris Chang to Toronto to launch her book "The Rape of Nanking". 6000 copies were sold
2005

Published the first Teacher's Resource Guide in Ontario

Inclusion of the Asia-Pacific War in Ontario Curriculum by the Ministry of Education Ontario

1st Peace and Reconciliation Study Tour for Canadian educators
2006

ALPHA Education was founded

"Comfort Women" Motion passed unanimously in the Canadian Parliament (Motion 291)

Production of docudrama "Iris Chang: The Rape of Nanking"

Toronto District School Board passes a motion on teaching WWII atrocities in Asia​

ALPHA Education was invited to visit Japan, meeting educators and peace activists​
2010

First International Conference for Educators on WWII in Asia. Over 30 delegates from Asia and North America were invited as speakers.

1st History Meets Humanity Student Conference for grade 11 and 12 students.

First ALPHA University Chapter founded at the University of Toronto

Organization of a peace rally in Ottawa in support of the 100th Wednesday Demonstration in Seoul, Korea, with over 500 attendees.
