Helen Loo, PhD
Board Director
In 2011, Helen embraced the challenge of establishing the Toronto ALPHA – University of Toronto Chapter, a venture aimed at promoting the understanding of World War II's Asian history and its contemporary relevance. Their efforts involved curating research materials and hosting discussion workshops. Among her most cherished achievements is the enduring legacy of the Toronto ALPHA UofT Chapter, which continues to thrive as a recognized club, attracting passionate young students dedicated to social activism.
Today, Helen’s path has led her to become a trained scientist, and she attribute much of her personal growth and professional development to ALPHA Education. This organization provided her with a unique perspective on community involvement and the vital role it plays in nurturing the next generation. She eagerly look forward to her ongoing commitment to championing the values of justice, peace, and reconciliation. This commitment extends to both the survivors of historical events and those who influence the narratives of our present and future.
